Surge also uses browser local storage (a similar technology) to remember your cookie consent preference and, within the application, your login session.

Analytics cookies
With your consent, we may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how visitors use this website (pages visited, time on page, device type). This helps us improve the site.
We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising trackers. We aim to use EU/UK-hosted analytics that do not require cookie consent under PECR, but we ask for consent as a precaution.
